Let’s go to Matsuri!
Introducing the Japanese festivals held in May.
Children’s day is on May 5th.On Children’s day, many families fly carp streamers (koinobori) and we celebrate children’s growth, happiness and prosperity.
Also Aoi-Matsuri( one of the three major festivals of Kyoto) is held in Kyoto, and Hakata Dontaku is held in Fukuoka prefecture.
5月5日は子供たちの成長を祈願する日。日本では各家々で鯉のぼりをあげて祝います。
また、京都では京都三大祭りの1つ、葵祭が行われ、福岡県では博多どんたくが行われます。
