Let’s go to Matsuri!
Introducing the Japanese festivals held in July.
Summer is the festival season.
Many festivals are held in each place in Japan and people can go to see a parade of portable Shinto shrines called “mikoshi” of gorgeously decorated floats called “dashi”.
One of the most famous festival is the Gion Festival in Kyoto, is one of Japan’s three greatest festival.
Also Nachi -no-Ogi Matsuri(Nachi Fire Festival) is one of the Japan’s three major fire festivals is held in Wakayama prefecture.
夏は祭りの季節です。各地で祭りが行われ、山車お神輿を見物できます。
中でも有名なのは、京都の祇園祭り。日本三大祭りの1つで歴史ある祭りです。
また、和歌山県では、日本三大火祭りの1つ、那智の扇祭りが行われます。
